ABOUT THIS SYMPOSIUM
The National Rural Health Association and the Center for Nonprofit Management provided grants to help fund this symposium.
Bernard Turner, Ed.D, M.B.A., M.A., has been involved in development and fundraising for more than 17 years, and has an excellent track record as a grant writer. He is well known throughout Nashville and Tennessee for his work in building the capacity of nonprofit organizations by conducting grant writing workshops and fund development consultation services through the Center for Nonprofit Management. He is a grant reviewer for the federal government and several local grant making organizations and a frequent speaker for national, regional, and local organizations. Dr. Turner conducted this workshop for us last year and it received excellent reviews by the attendees.

Agenda
In this one day grant writing session the individuals will be led through the process of writing a grant proposal, looking at funding sources, and actually practice working on different aspects of the grant process. This session will be divided in to two parts with the morning being a beginner session and the afternoon more advanced. Dr. Turner will make these sessions interactive, hands-on, and discussion-oriented for the participants. The goal of these sessions is to help participants learn the basics of grant writing and have them apply the skills, knowledge, and tools from the seminar into real life proposal writing.
